UE802 EC1 LV : études de textes philosophiques anglais

Résumé:

The notion of a deductively valid argument has been central to western philosophy since Aristotle, is a foundation of logic, and has played an important role in our thinking about the human mind. But it is a disputed and in some ways puzzling notion.

In this provocative and rich work, Catarina Dutilh Novaes argues that the notion of deduction should be understood not, as is usually assumed, individualistically, but in terms of its historical roots in dialogue.
